About the Author

Melissa Pence is a thirty one year old self-taught digital artist who enjoys pointing accusing evil-monkey-fingers at Adobe Photoshop and cursing at her fingers.

During her horrendous nerd-filled younger years, she took several art classes. First from Mrs. Twila Robar Decoste who was nice enough not to kill her and later, her high school art teacher, Holly Carr was also nice enough to allow her to live.

During her years far from elementary school or high school, Mel apparently was

struck stupid and meandered away from writing, drawing and anything else awesome.

Over the past few years she has eventually taken up the pen, WACOM pen tablet, pencil, polymer clay and Canon camera to return to doing that which she loves–falling all over herself and making something (some times) pretty out of it. As well as maintaining a blog, 2phatgeeks, with her husband, she maintains a personal live journal blog, has a deviant art gallery, an etsy shop, two cats, two hamsters, two birds and one dog.
